The Green Hornet TV show was unknown in the UK when Corgi introduced the 'Black Beauty' in November 1967, yet it sold over 800,000 units, becoming an iconic 60s toy. This die-cast model features two miniature figures: the Green Hornet in the back seat with a swivelling action to fire his pistol, and Kato (played by Bruce Lee in the TV series) driving. The standout features include a chromed front grille that lowers to fire missiles and a boot that flips open to launch flying 'radar scanners', both operated by side levers. The model came on a card plinth with an instructions leaflet, spare missiles, and radar scanners. Originally available until 1972, it was relaunched by Corgi in 2001.
