Revell Color is a synthetic resin enamel paint that does not attack the plastic surface of plastic models. Many other materials can also be painted from the 14 ml paint can, which is popular with many hobbyists.
All colors - except signal color - can be mixed with each other and can be diluted with Revell Color Mix.
The paint can not only be applied with a brush, but also with a spray gun. Revell Painta Clean is used as a cleaning agent for the brush and Revell Airbrush Clean for the spray gun.
This shade is used:
- for camouflage painting of aircraft of the Bundeswehr-Luftwaffe
- as a top coat of helicopters
- as topside camouflage painting of Luftwaffe aircraft during World War II (RLM 82)
- as anti-glare protection surfaces on US military aircraft, especially in front of the cockpit glazing
- as surface painting of Royal Navy helicopters (Wessex, Sea King) during the Falklands conflict in 1982
- as a new top camouflage finish for the Tornado of the BW naval aviation (together with Matt 9 Anthracite)
- as a surface coating on aircraft of the USAAC - US Army Air Corps, the forerunner of the USAF - in World War II (e.g. North American P-51 Mustang, Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, etc.)
