Revell Color is a synthetic resin enamel paint that does not attack the plastic surface of plastic models. Many other materials can also be painted from the 14 ml paint can, which is popular with many hobbyists.
All colors - except signal color - can be mixed with each other and can be diluted with Revell Color Mix.
The paint can not only be applied with a brush, but also with a spray gun. Revell Painta Clean is used as a cleaning agent for the brush and Revell Airbrush Clean for the spray gun.
This shade is used:
- as a color for standard camouflage for Luftwaffe aircraft (Bundeswehr) such as MDD F-4E Phantom II, together with 361 olive green and 90 silver
- for upper surfaces of Royal Air Force and Royal Navy aircraft used primarily at sea, often in conjunction with 371 light grey
- Also often used for cockpit interior painting
- as a surface camouflage color for the German Luftwaffe on fighter planes from 1943-1945, in conjunction with 374 gray and 78 panzergrau
