The McLaren P1 is a British sports car, the main designers of which were Frank Stephenson and Robert Melville. The car was presented for the first time to the public in 2012 during the Paris Motor Show. Its serial production started in 2013 and lasted until 2015. It was concentrated in the town of Woking in Great Britain.
The P1 model was developed and put into production as a technologically advanced successor to the F1 model. Compared to its predecessor, it differs in many elements. The fundamental difference lies in the use of a completely different drive unit, which in the basic version is an 8-cylinder gasoline engine with 727 HP. However, it is also possible to choose a hybrid drive, consisting of engines: gasoline and electric, which drive - in total! - generates power as much as 903 KM! The styling has also been profoundly changed - both the exterior and the interior. For example, the characteristic system known from the F1 model has been abandoned in favor of a more conventional one. The following systems were also refined - in relation to F1 - with the use of electronics to a much greater extent: steering, braking and suspension. The car, thanks to all these features, has excellent performance - its maximum speed has been factory limited to 350 km / h. The acceleration of the car is also respectable - it takes only 2.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / k
