Revell Color is a synthetic resin enamel paint that does not attack the plastic surface of plastic models. Many other materials can also be painted from the 14 ml paint can, which is popular with many hobbyists. All colors - except signal color - can be mixed with each other and can be diluted with Revell Color Mix. The paint can be applied not only with a brush, but also with a spray gun.
Revell Painta Clean is used for cleaning the brushes and Revell Airbrush Clean for the spray gun.
This shade is used:
- as camouflage paint for aircraft of the Bundeswehr Luftwaffe

- for the surface painting of Royal Navy helicopters (Wessex, Sea King) during the Falklands conflict in 1982
- as a new topside camouflage for the Tornado of the BW naval aviation (together with Anthracite 9)
- as a surface coating on aircraft of the USAAC-US Army Air Corps, the forerunner of the USAF in World War II (e.g. North American P-51 Mustang, Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, etc.)
