Revell Color is a synthetic resin enamel paint that does not attack the plastic surface of plastic models. Many other materials can also be painted from the 14 ml paint can, which is popular with many hobbyists.
All colors - except signal color - can be mixed with each other and can be diluted with Revell Color Mix.
The paint can not only be applied with a brush, but also with a spray gun. Revell Painta Clean is used as a cleaning agent for the brush and Revell Airbrush Clean for the spray gun.
This shade is used:
- as the surface camouflage color of the new US Navy standard camouflage scheme
- as interior painting of aircraft of the German Air Force 1939-1945
- sometimes used in conjunction with other grays and greens for surface painting (e.g. Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II)
- Granite gray can also be used instead of anthracite for dirt
